UNDP Belize is part of the UN System and is one of the five resident UN Agencies in Belize. UNDP Belize was established on 7 June 1982 with the signing of the Standard Basic Assistance Agreement (SBAA) and opened office in Belize in the early 1990s; it is a sub-office of the UNDP El Salvador Country Office. UNDP Programme in Belize is guided the 2017-2021 Country Programme Document (CPD), and the United Nations Multi country Sustainable Development Framework (UN MSDF 2017-2021). Aligned with the Belize Growth and Sustainable Development Strategy GSDS - (2016-2019) and the 2018-2021 UNDP Strategic Plan, we are committed to supporting the government and people of Belize.
