Programs of the National Women's Commission
The National Women’s Commission has begun it's series of “Empowering Women in Power and Decision Making Session” at the local government level. We were honored to host our very first session in San Narciso Village, Corozal District January 30, 2022. The Nation Women's Commission champions initiatives for empowering women, and for encouraging more women to participate in electoral politics to ensure that we can increase their participation at every level of decision making.
This session was partnered with Hon. Minister Ramiro Ramirez, Area Representative of Corozal South West. Hon. Ramiro Ramirez is serious about fostering women's leadership especially at thenext Village Council Elections!Joining the session were members of the United Women’s Group from the surrounding villages.
